What is an RICS Home Survey Level 2?

The RICS Home Survey Level 2 is designed to help buyers understand the visible condition of a property before exchange of contracts. It highlights significant defects, repair issues and matters that may affect your decision to proceed.

The survey was previously commonly referred to as a HomeBuyer Report or HomeBuyer Survey.

According to RICS guidance, a Level 2 survey is generally suitable for conventionally built residential properties that appear to be in reasonable condition.
