Frequently asked questions

What level of survey do I need?

As a general guide, Level 2 is usually suitable for more conventional properties in reasonable condition. Level 3 is recommended for older, altered, non standard or poorer condition buildings, or where significant works are planned.

Do you provide surveys in Worcester?

Yes. Worcester is a core area of work, with Level 2 and Level 3 home surveys regularly undertaken across Worcester and surrounding parts of Worcestershire.

Is a drone inspection included with every survey?

Yes. A drone inspection is included with every survey where suitable and weather permitting, helping improve visibility of roofs and other high level elements.

Do you check sockets for safety?

Yes. Socket checks are included for visible safety concerns, giving buyers added peace of mind alongside the main survey findings.

How do I get a quote?

Use the homepage form or quote page, select the survey type and enter the property postcode, and we will confirm the most suitable survey level, availability and fixed fee.

Do you cover areas outside Worcester?

Yes. In addition to Worcester and Worcestershire, Severn Surveyors Ltd also covers selected areas across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and parts of the wider Midlands region.

Are your surveyors RICS qualified?

Yes. Surveys are carried out by a qualified RICS regulated surveyor, giving buyers clear and professional advice they can rely on.

When do I pay for the survey?

Payment is usually made when you book the survey. In some cases, we can provisionally reserve an appointment first and send payment details by email shortly afterwards.

If I have had a cheaper quote, will you match it?

We aim to keep our fees competitive while still providing a thorough and professional service. If you have received another quote, feel free to send it over and we will be happy to review it.
